A revamped theatre.

Our local 126 yr. old Theatre/Cinema has been closed for some time due to the redevelopment of the front of house. Last week the covers were taken off to reveal this attractive new frontage.

The building is the oldest cinema in the U.K. and the oldest theatre in Wales.
In the 1880's it was called 'a Public Hall' as the stone plaque at the top of the building testifies.

Terry Jones is its Patron - Colwyn Bay born 'Monty Python' actor, writer and director and will be visiting the Official Opening in October.
The cost of the redevelopment is in the region of £738,000 but, hopefully, will be worthwhile as the Theatre is still in constant use for shows, films and an annual popular pantomime.
