Disappointed

We went for a mooch around Dubai marina last night as I had got it into my head before I came out here that it would be a pretty cool place to live.

I found it disturbingly enclosed and depressing. Loads of massive high rise blocks with no space between them. Going from open fields to living somewhere like this would send me over the edge and couldn't be further removed from what I loved about being at home... lots of fields, sky and space.

Sounds pathetically childish but I don't think I could cope living somewhere as far removed from home as this.
