View from the top

Checkout day, we left our bags at the hotel then headed out to cram in a last few sights before our afternoon trip to the airport.
In all the times we've been to Paris, neither of us had ever been up Montparnasse Tower so we decided to head there. Got amazing views of the city from there and it wasn't too busy either. With the lift only taking 38 seconds to travel 56 floors it was a quick trip!
Next we got the metro over to Concorde and went into the Orangerie to see Monet's Waterlillies which are shown in a specially designed gallery.
Time ran out after that so it was back to the hotel to collect our bags then on to the shuttle bus back to the airport. The flight was on time this time and we were soon back in good old Edinburgh where it felt freezing after such a lovely hot sunny weekend.

Chippy tea then I collapsed on the settee to watch River City - truly back in Scotland!
