Chyulu Lava Rock

A friend bought us this piece of Lava rock
back from her safari in Kenya.
"Chyulu hill is among the youngest of hills
on earth. The emerald slopes look as though
they have been here for ever.
They were flung up around the time Columbus
was discovering America.
Only the black lava flows spilling down their
flanks, bear the truth of their catalysmic birth.
The rock is said to be the size of St Pauls Cathedral
according to Google".
We didn't want anything else, we both love stones
rocks and wooden objects, so we were very chuffed.
