Sooner Than Gold

"Beauty provoketh thieves sooner than gold."

- Rosalind, in William Shakespeare's "As You Like It"

Lorikeet, lorikeet, oh lori lori lori lorikeet, lorikeet, oh lori lori lori lorikeet....

The weather today minded me of the Goons:

D'you hear that naughty wind? 'Tis the wind that blows o'er the Kenneth Moors of a wintertime.

They do say, if you holds a nergle in your hand, and puts one earhole to the ground ... you can hear the wind, blowin' in the other earhole.

Anyway, this little lorikeet was being blown mightily about on its perch, but was holding on birdfully, allowing me to take a few shots before it finally gave in and flew off.

I cropped the image a fair bit (really really really looking forward to the 200mm lens I'm getting soon for my birthday), raised the luminance on the lorikeet's body, and sharpened its eye and beak a little.
