Champagne on a Monday?

I know, a bit unusual - especially as we don't drink at home very often, never mind champagne.

I'd forgotten we'd got this bottle lurking in the fridge, think it must have been a present and we were waiting for the right occasion to drink it. That occasion came tonight, after Gary heard that he has got his first contract as a freelance print consultant after handing in his resignation on Friday.

Very proud of him - it was a big decision to give up his job and take the chance of going self-employed. We've been talking about it for a while, as his job seemed to be taking him away from home more and more, spending half the week driving, unhealthy lifestyle, not seeing enough of his family... the list went on.

Lots to do over the next couple of weeks, but this is such a great start and will take the pressure off a bit as he starts his new business.

And now if you'll excuse me, he's drunk his glass while I'm busy blipping, I'm falling behind with my champagne consumption!
