Fungi Forage

We had another home-ed get-together this morning and all met up to go on a Fungi Forage/Fruits of the Forest outing, it was great fun and very educational (as always).

We saw and learnt about Shaggy Inkcaps, these are fascinating mushrooms and we'll be making some paper soon and getting creative on the home-made paper by using the ink of these. We also saw and learnt about Jews Ear, these really look and feel like ears!, some other ones were Saffron Milkcaps and Sulphur Tufts. We ate Elderberries and other berries, and lots of different leaves from various trees and plants, some quite tasty and some quite horrible. We also found some conkers!

It was a hard choice of which photo to blip today, however, this one won, just because it caught my eye at the beginning and end of our walk.
