Cabbage White Butterfly
Today was such a beautiful day! The skies were bright blue, the sun poured down, and I felt like rubbish! Argh...
Since I wasn't feeling quite up to snuff, it was difficult to get some photos, but I did put forth an effort. I walked around the house, looking in all the flowers...poking about for something interesting! But, it wasn't meant to be!
I finally walked down by the road. Since our house is in the woods and the sun is beginning to set lower in the sky, we are spending more time in the shade. I thought perhaps the critters might be lingering near the road where the sun is much brighter.
At this point, I need to interject that our hummingbirds are now gone; I've not seen any since four days ago. I also heard the Canada Geese overhead the other day. Yes, these are signs of things to come...
Well, after looking about quite a bit, I finally saw a little White Cabbage Butterfly sitting on a flower. The photo isn't great....although there is more sun down by the road, it is also much windier! Every time I would focus on my minute subject, a gust would send the little bugger bouncing about as though on a pogo stick!
