lupine misunderstanding

Charity Shot

Brilliant day today. Aside from getting a good chunk of work done in the morning, the afternoon brought a rather impromptu visit to the Royal West of England Acadamy, for the art exhibition currently there.

Most notable in my eyes was Michael Kidner, and the Louise Bourgeois/Tracy Emin collaboration. Truly fantastic.

However, pictured above is the inside view of the Damien Hirst installation, Charity, which occupies the front and balcony of the building. The giant money box girl is broken into, and her precious pennies are scattered at her feet, at the bottom of the Academy and on the street below. The vandal's equally-giant crowbar is quietly leant against the base of the building, as the sad empty girl stares out at the finery of the mansions and fountains opposite.
