It Asda be worth a blip...

Does anyone remember the scene at the end of the original 'Planet of the Apes' film where the Statue of Liberty is seen partially buried on a beach? Maybe it would have been a more accurate reflection of the end of civilisation as we know it if the enduring symbol of humankind was an abandoned shopping trolley from Asda (part of the Walmart 'family').

Took this whilst out walking along the beach at Wallasey this morning. The Liverpool skyline is visible across the Mersey.
