Lady Fleming in Stirling Castle
KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA
Mhairi Gibson in character as Lady Fleming, lady in waiting to Mary Queen of Scots, this afternoon at Stirling Castle.
Mhairi used to be a tour guide before she became an actress and she is an accomplished needlewoman having made all the costumes for the actors who stroll around Stirling Castle.
The tapestries and other soft furnishings have been re-created using the best available records.
Historic Scotland took over Stirling Castle from the army in 1964 and began a £12m renaissance restoration.
It is the most visited castle in Scotland after Edinburgh and it is said that if you only have time to see one castle in Scotland then you should make it Stirling.
Yes its well worth it despite the hefty entry fee of £13 per person.
Fortunately as members of Historic Scotland we got in free.
