No Surf Today
This picture tells a story.
I went for a walk on Porthmeor beach as the wind was blowing about force 7 onshore and I thought I might get a good shot of some storm waves. Predictably and quite sensibly the whole beach had been red flagged by the lifeguards.
The surfer in the picture parked in the carpark, got changed and walked to the waters edge apparently not noticing some small signs that it might be unsafe, like a line of 5 huge red flags, the fact that there was absolutely no one in the water and the fact there were no ridable waves, just 100m of blown out mush.
The lifeguard (in the red coat) walked over to him and after a short chat the surfer walked back to his car and went home.
I wonder what was said :-)
