My journey from Edinburgh to Carlisle took me via Ayr and Prestwick today. No, not the most direct route, but I was trying to pick up the most Westerly geocache that I could. Although it was a little windy, the sun was glorious as I enjoyed a stroll along the seafront. The beach itself was very stoney & not especially photogenic, but the view across the Firth of Clyde was stunning, the Isle of Arran was almost hiding in the blue haze.
Today's two 40 before 40 tasks were not worthy of photographing, I played bogies whist surrounded by a group of school kids on the seafront in Ayr (really easy to do when you';re hiding behind an ice cream) and I watched West Side Story when I finally got to Carlisle.
