The Queenford Relays

6am this morning - registration for the Queenford Relays and the lake was an amazing milky mirror with a warm light...yet, it was rather chilly. Good atmosphere all around. I ended up in a mixed team and despite the lack of sleep we had a good race of 4X1100m. And then somehow, I got roped in to getting in again an hour late for the "pursuit". This time, I swapped the Wild Card Team hat, for the Oxford Water-polo hat....3 poor men needing an additional teammate. That was good fun! A nice twist on a normal race. Not so easy swimming pursuit as a team you've never swam with before...but it was very enjoyable. Nice bunch too!
