Into the trees

You can access the city's town belt at the top of my road and today I walked through it on the way to the library.

There are a couple of places in it where you can't see any of the buildings of the surrounding city. When I reach these spots I often pause and imagine myself miles away, in the middle of nowhere.

I took this picture at one of these places. I thought the sharp branches of the trees looked a little sinister so I removed the colour and darkened the shot to (hopefully) highlight this.
