Bike Grocery Shopping
Here is my work bike loaded down with groceries. Finally has gotten cool enough to go grocery shopping without a car. HOORAY!!! Our local Kroger is about five miles from the condo. I ride side streets and meet friends along the way. Most Americans don't understand the joys of biking. I don't mean the spandex and road bike kind of cycling, I mean the get out and get fresh air in your t-shirt and shorts type. I have plenty of friends my age and younger that say they can't ride. No surprise, they can't. I have not ALWAYS been the bike nut. A few months of riding whenever you can may make you into a person that is thinner, with fewer health problems and can enjoy riding a bike. Of course, most of my friends now are much younger than my friends of five years ago. Oh well, I will get off my soap box.
Here I bought a 20 pack of Diet Coke for the wife. I have plenty of beer at home so didn't have to get any of that. Bread, almond milk, orange juice, cheese, potatoes, veggies. All kinds of things.
It rained a bunch here last night, and we have some more coming our way now. I felt a couple drops on my way home from the store, but that was it. My wife and I are planning on riding out tonight so she can practice night riding. Much of my riding is at night. One has to be more cautious at night. With enough lights on your bike and a more watchful eye, you can cycle safely.
