It's the download blues

Today's weather was terrible: dull interspersed with torrential rain. So it was a day for overdue domestic tasks, which in my case included downloading a couple of programmes onto my new netbook.

iTunes was absolutely fine, but Photoshop Elements would try the patience of a saint, which is something I am not. Even a modest dose of what might be described as industrial language did not appear to help, as the "apparently" downloaded files kept disappearing. Which was more than a little frustrating as the main programme file took an hour to download. By the third attempt, I was wondering whether the netbook would benefit from a swift stroke from a hammer.

But I refuse to be beaten by a piece of software, and eventually it worked. Victory was mine at last, after a long and arduous campaign of grim trench warfare and some sneaky guerilla action.
