Le Cygne

yes the Cognac last night was a mistake! Woke up early and all day I feel like I've been dragging myself round.

Back east to .... rain, although fortunately it cleared up and was sunny and dry for the photography assignments at St margaret's Loch. A while ago I bought an afternoon crash course on a photography workshop. So there I was learning, yet again, about how to use my camera's manual settings - D o F, aperture, exposure etc etc - you know the kind of thing.

I could have blipped Richard in the classroom teaching all of this but then we went out to St Margaret's Loch to practice and I think the swan is much prettier. Under exposed, over exposed, correctly exposed, narrow D o F, panning - I now have loads of pretty duff photos of ducks, swans and blurred taxis - but I think, I hope, that this time it will stick. Time will tell and maybe I'll be brave and put stuff into the critique group.

It was good fun and the sunshine was a bonus (but getting the exposure right with all these glaring white swan feathers was a challenge.).

Now I am EXHAUSTED but I can't justify another meal out, can I?
