What's for Dinner?

What shall I give our friends for dinner tonight? Will it be the 'bird poo' tomatoes, now picked, still very, very green? Or perhaps something a little more tasty from one of the books?

The colourful recipe book was a gift from my brother-in-law and his wife who comes from Canada, as indeed did the recipe book. It has a very good recipe for vegan chocolate brownies.

However, tonight pudding is going to be a pineapple upside-down cake, that's all I've decided on for now.

Mr H is beginning to rejoice, the skies are darkening and it looks like it's going to chuck it down any minute. He's going to rejoice because.........outdoor painting was on his agenda for today. : )

Regarding the level crossing, I wasn't stuck ON it, just at it.. Wouldn't want to cause any of you undue alarm. I wasn't even in mild peril....
