football

high school football (american football), especially in Texas is a beast. we play rain or shine, snow or sleet. there was a lightning delay and we didn't get started for a good hour or so after the original start time, but we played. and the rain poured from the sky.

two of my fellow student doctors joined me tonight. I think Dr. P and Trainer Bill enjoyed having a crew. nothing too crazy, but we left a little early because we were swimming in our shoes and sloshing around on the turf. And Chait still had to drive an hour to go visit family.

It's always a good experience to get out in the community and remember that medicine is a field of service. helping people, being there for people is what we do. Best of luck in the navy Aaron--a former high school trainer, who was helping out trainer Bill until he shipped out.
