Out of sight
Diarm took me out this evening to a disused underground car park at Wilkinsons - he knows how to treat a girl! We went to see the Out of Sight exhibition created by students at the Arts University College at Bournemouth which incorporated some exhibits which I thought were excellent and some I would class as interesting exhibits but which I was less sure of... the latter included one which was essentially a pair of speakers, and audio CD and amplifier piled on the floor with sound playing. The piece was called 'Sequence, Walk Up and 10 Display Jumps' which if an invite would have been impossible with my leg! All in all though a worthwhile experience though it made me a little concerned about the art evening course I have signed up to!
If I were to give any criticism it would be that I would have liked to have seen a bit more about what the the artist was intending to convey rather than just a title and name of the artist, or in several cases untitled exhibits...perhaps this was not included as the point is how the viewer interprets the piece?
