Big day

The last day in a long event spanning some months and the four countries of the UK.

Ten finalists, out of several hundred, made it to Telford today for the RTITB Lift Truck Driver of the Year competition.

Lots of nerves but fun too for all in attendance. The skittles (with the faces of the judges on) were one of the eight events they were all tested on. So, frustrations could be taken out by using their skills to pick up a basketball and roll it down a slope and knock as many out as possible.

Not as easy as it seems. Judging was harsh but the standard was very high.

And so it should be. To get here was an achievement in itself. And the first prize is a new car!
