Not the one I wanted
I am a little bit cross with myself. I'll blame it on Mr. Bond. Yeah ...that one.
One of the most memorable images I have had in my head for a few years is from Casino Royale. Bond driving his Aston Martin through the hills in the dusk just before he is captured, towards the end of the film. I have to shoot something similar one day or I will not have ticked off all the boxes on my bucket list. It is not Bond I am after, just a curvy road in the hills in the dusk with a single light trail from a car.
What that fantasy cost me today is a shot somewhat similar to this. Well done GrantR! :)) I had got impatient as I arrived too early for moonrise and started looking around. And I missed the moon rising just out of sight while I was mesmerised by the thought of capturing light trails around Duddingston Loch. For my overseas friends, a loch is Gaelic term for lake. This is as close as I got to it, because I had to walk a great distance from the viewpoint of today's blip in order to lose the vegetation in the foreground.
So if all goes well, I might shoot the moon from the top of a hill tomorrow again. In this part of world, such assurances would be far too optimistic. Tomorrow's moonrise is another 20 minutes later.
In other news a NASA satellite is supposed to come crashing down to earth. If you are planning to be around somewhere in between Canada and South America, towards the end of this month and don't fancy being struck by a falling double decker bus (and don't listen to radio, watch TV, etc.) do stay tuned in to my blips as I will be tracking it. The best NASA can do is provide two hours notice of when and where. Bug**r!
Thanks so much for all your comments and stars and hearts for yesterday. I will catch up with your blips soon.
EDIT: I am dedicating this entry to Nalini, my loyal blip-mate, who is celebrating her birthday today. Happy birthday, Nalini :))
