The Day I Went To John's Funeral

John's funeral today. I'll miss our little chats and our chance to put the world to rights.

Afterwards I took a stroll through Elberry Woods and down to Broadsands and spotted what I think is a buzzard (I'm no Bill Oddie despite what some people say). Postie assures me that it's a kestrel. Thanks Postie.

I followed it to a rock but as soon as I got near enough for a decent photo it flew off so I took this panned shot as it flew along the surface of the water near the cliffs.

There was a news item today about four goshawks poisoned. I can't believe how cruel some people can be.
