Rowley Way
This council housing estate is commonly known as Rowley Way. It's real name is the Alexandra and Ainsworth Estate. It is in the Borough of Camden, North West London and not far from me. It was designed in 1968 by Neave Brown in Camden Councils architects Department and work started in 1972 and was completed in 1978. It was granted Grade II listed status in 1993. The estate contains apartments, a school, a community centre, a youth club and underground garages. It has featured in the Sweeney as an unfinished construction in a 1976 episode and has featured in other various album covers and primeval etc. It has gained some iconic status.
