THE SCENIC ROUTE

The weather was so glorious this morning that I turned off the main road for the scenic route to work, rounded a corner, and Wow, what a wonderful sight. I found a patch of verge to park in and ran, yes me, running, back through the sunbeams to take a shot or five.

I had already stopped to blip The Barn in the mist, to the puzzlement of two workmen sitting in their vans in my layby waiting for their lift to work, but the sun's rays bursting through the trees just stopped me in my tracks.

Had I been of a slightly weaker disposition, I don't think I would have got to work at all, but just gone on and on up into the Dales for as long as my camera battery lasted.

Tomorrow I have an expedition with Hellonwheels planned, which will at some point involve cheese scones, so I am very much looking forward to that, and them!
