Go Cav, Oh No Cav!

We woke up before 10am for the first time in weeks, eyes blinking against the harsh light we got ourselves all wrapped up warm and set out in the car ready to see the likes of Mark Cavendish and Thor Hushovd race in the Tour of Britain. Imagine our excitement as we not only found the right roads near Lancaster but we also got ourselves to the top of a long climb. A perfect place to get a great photo... Only to chat to a man in a van with the Tour of Britain logo on and find out the whole stage had been cancelled 20mins earlier. Some windy weather or summat.

The only thing for it was to visit an old haunt and have a very good pub lunch washed down with a compensatory beer. We had plans to visit our old Uni campus but never made it as we ran out of time... I'd like to go back though... always wanted to do a phd.
