I took this portrait of my daughter this morning before leaving for work. There was nothing I saw through the day that could compare in the slightest - so here she is. 8)

I tend to eschew the flash, as I don't like the harsh look it gives. Hence the rather too slow shutter speed, and blurring here. Never mind, I like it anyway - especially the subject. 8)

And after reading the quote from Peter Ustinov, I think I need to read King Lear. ;-)
