Flag Break.....

.....and the Cubs and Scouts of the 11th Leith have had a great weekend in spite of the forked lightning, thunder and buckets of rain last night.

The weather let up long enough for a campfire, shared with the 48th Dalgety Bay and the 4th Linlithgow. As a younger scout leader I used to find the mixture of chanting, signing, sketches and double entendres rather embarrassing, but now I love it....Owen had a magic time and it beats a night in front of the TV hands down.

Although misty/moisty today, the kids still got through their programme of archery, climbing, caving, assault course, adventure biking and space hoppering. No major injuries and aside from an outbreak of home-sickness in the youngest ones, it all went well. I'm sitting at home now with a cold beer and my feet in a hot basin of water.......bliss!!

Owen is the Beaver Scout with the toy dog on his head (blue and orange outfit)...??
