Sabine's Gull
You might need to read yesterday's Rather Rambling Backblip to understand today's, but that may well be too great a price to pay.
We bade farewell to John this morning as he continued on his tour of old haunts, relatives and old friends and shortly after Mrs L and I were heading up the A1 back to Grafham Water to try and get our life tick of a Sabine's Gull. We passed yesterday's Grey Phalarope, but today there were two of them. John was worried yesterday about it being Johnny Nomates, so worry no more John. Just a little further round the dam we then came across today's target the Sabine's Gull standing on the reservoir banking. After he had posed on the banking for a while he went into the water and gave us a few poses (captured by RCB) while feeding then to finish off the show flew back and forwards in front of us - what a nice bird.
