Butter Pie in the eye.....

I love Manchester and whilst on a 'midweek mini-break' there not too long back, I discovered the joy that is...Butter Pie!

And this is my attempt! Not 'alf bad too it seems, judging by the clean plates.

Apparently eaten on not-meat-Fridays by the Catholics (Lancashire had/has a lot of Catholics). I'm not a Catholic but I am a vegetarian so I could, if I really really wanted to, eat them EVERY DAY. As well as on Fridays.
