Ness Island seasons & me

By ewansnaps

Four hours later

Woke up at ten minutes to five this morning with an attractive half-light sneaking through my curtains and thought "ooh, an opportunity to take some dawn photos like all the nice ones I've seen on blip." So I checked the BBC website, found that I had ten minutes before official sun up, and so took my bike up to the canal path over the river.

When I got there I felt a right tube as the sky was just one big cloud. So I sat down dejected on the only available seat (a little stone bollard), looked down and saw that I'd narrowly missed stepping in a big dog poo. I got up relieved, but not enjoying the smell, and moved away only to experience an unpleasant squidgy, slippery sensation underfoot. Sure enough, the dog poo had a friend, possibly larger, and probably smellier, that had not been so lucky.

After soaking my foot on the dewy grass trying to get the poop off my thin cloth trainers, I headed back through town on my way home and enjoyed taking some photos of the worst junction in Britain sans cars. :)

I didn't have an overturned double-decker bus handy so I made do with my bike in an attempt to create a 24 days later type atmosphere.

Went back to bed and slept until noon. At least there was a happy ending. :)
