Another Day

By pcc

Pakawau, Collingwood to Christchurch

Today is the last day of our holiday, and Dups and I were up early and packed.
We have had a great time exploring Golden Bay, and we have had a fantastic time.
Now is time to leave, and the sun is shining brilliantly.
We could see snow on the mountain tops, and knew that we would be travelling over them. In the Lewis Pass there was snow but the road was clear. We stopped at the St James Tarn, and this is a picture of it with the snow on the mountains, and along the lake.
Further down the track we stopped off at the Nina Valley and went for a walk through the beech forest with its wonderful mossy floor.
We travelled about 550 km to arrive back in Christchurch. Dups is staying the night, and she will head off in the morning for anther 168 km to get home too Timaru.
I hope to catch up with the blippers who have commented on my journal along the way.
Off to bed for me now.
