Inheritance

When we cleared out my Nana's house for her move into care, this was part of the stuff that I ferreted into my little hoard hole. You know...I might actually get around to pulling out the sewing machine sometime, and it looks like I'll not be needing to buy any thread any time soon, or have any shortage of colour matches.

Nana was a dressmaker before she got married. She clothed her three boys, made her own gear, plus I had any number of Nana creations in my earlier life. Teenage years put paid to that...plus her eyes deteriorated, so it wasn't as much of a joy for her.
