Observatory
Was rather tired this morning so didn't make it to the prayer breakfast (shockingly unholy, I know). I will go tomorrow.
After breakfast, I walked from my flat all the way to the Royal Observatory to see my Director of Studies - thankfully he was actually there this time rather than last year when he was actually down at King's Buildings, which I found out after I'd already walked up the hill! The photo was taken from Blackford Hill, near the observatory. I discovered that I don't have 9am maths lectures on Wednesdays after all, which means I can go to the CU's weekly prayer breakfasts during the semester, woop. I decided to go for History of Science as my outside course first semester, should be interesting although I haven't written an essay for several years so I might be a little rusty. There is also no exam for the course which means I can focus on physics and maths come December time.
Went shopping at Cameron Toll and had coffee at Costa before heading back to the flat. Had lunch and continued to backblip from my holiday up north - pictures start here - and then got ready for the CU grub crawl which was starting at our flat. With some degree of panic, we succeeded in serving starters to around 35 freshers! After clearing up, my flatmates and I had dinner together and then talked for a couple of hours before we figured it was time for bed.
