Went to a talk tonight by Richard Wiseman at the Edinburgh Fortean Society. He is a psychologist who is particularly interested in illusions and how we percieve things - most particularly how we can be fooled by stuff. And this is frighteningly often! Take the picture above for example, see the green swirl and the blue swirl? They are the same colour. Don't believe me? Here on his website is the same photo and then again with the pink and orange removed. Scary!
