Rembrant

This is Steph under Rembrant lighting - a small triangular shaped shadow on her cheek, which allows for a more chiselled appearance. Appartently Mr Clooney uses this lighting all the time, so perhaps it was unfair to try out the technique on Steph, but she was willing.

There was a small moment of panic when it was suggested that once again the hot shoe for my camera was unavailable but it had just been overlooked - I was so ready to loose my cool!

We did more work on exposures and aperture, and introduced ISO. It felt far more useful tonight than previously. We are learning to phrase questions in terms of one word answers. Anything else allows the tutor to go into the subject so deeply that he looses everyone.

I was so glad to be there tonight rather than at school to hear about UCAS applications, deadlines and personal statements. Who said 6th year was easier? It's a big pack of lies I tell you, lies.
