Modern Art. Old Stair

I went to the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art SNGMA to catch the exhibitions by Tony Cragg and Hiroshi Sugimoto (both very good and worth seeing if you have the opportunity) but as they don't really encourage photography inside the galleries I was drawn to the stairwell in the SNGMA2 building.

The building used to be a school, a rather grandly accommodated one it must be said, and I can easily image a stair like this filled with noise and children rather than quiet and contemplation.
