Such a clever girl!
Storm is 19 months old and hasn't been saying much at all but we have success and I wanted to share and keep a record of it ...
She can say, in her own way;
Car
Clara
Cat
Dog (she says ooh! ooh! For woof woof)
Duck (she says ah! ah! For quack quack)
Baby
Juice
Cheese
Hello
Bye-bye
Mummy
Daddy
Nana
Teddy
Tummy
Shoes
She can also point to and say;
Hair
Eyes
Nose
Mouth
Ears
Toes
23 I think I make that! Not bad! She can communicate what she wants more by pointing rather than crying, she can let me know when she wants to be unstrapped from her pushchair if we're out walking, she can let me know when she wants to get down after finishing dinner. She is much less frustrated now that we've got a good communication system going :) system is basically that I keep a huge eye on whatever she's doing and listen for the 'uuh, uuh, uuh' and go to her! I think actually, looking at this list, it is more than Clara could say too. If I ask Storm what a duck says, she says 'ah! ah!'. She is also gaining confidence with shape sorters and is able to complete on of her 4 piece sorters all by herself! At the moment she loves playing with her babies, giving them juice and rocking them to sleep in her pushchair. She loves drawing with her sister - I'll encourage that if it means I have two budding artists :) we're doing very well and considering lately I've been feeling pretty neglectful of my children (it's from times past, I didn't bond with Storm immediately and sometimes feel I don't spend enough time with her) this means that I am spending time enough to teach her things and enough to notice them. I'm feeling proud today :)
