It's all about lighting.....

..and where it is placed.....tonight straight from work we had a mini workshop of home made lighting for portraiture. This guy from our club, just a young chap, has made lighting of all sorts, he googled it and then set too and made it. The basic light with shades, reflecting etc including stand $36. He is full of enthusiasam and has some brilliant ideas, showed us his light boxes of varying sizes, then we had a bit of a play ourselves.......with this one we used the lighting just on one side, then after that had a relector on the other side, my preference is this one with the shadow on one side......I used my 50mm lens (what else!!!)

I am enjoying a hot drink (oops, just remembered not had any dinner) then off to bed.
