Back of High St
High St was one of my favourite inner city haunts. It's all off limits now.
This is taken from the fences on St Asaph St. In the foreground McKenzie and Willis is being demolished. We're looking into the remains of Arts the Printer, Savoy Cafe, Where the Fox Lives, Groovy Glasses and The Globe Cafe. Sadly already I'm becoming vague about what was in this block.
Note the bulge on the side of the 2 story part.
How it used to look on the other side
I took a lot of blips in this part of town. I didn't realise how many until I flicked back through my files tonight. It's sad but I'm also glad I took the images I did. They've become a precious record.
