Whistler - Day 7 - Olympic

We're in Whistler today taking the Sea to Sky highway from Vancouver to Whistler.
This has to be one of the best roads to drive for views (not for driving pleasure given all the changes in speed limit all the way). Unfortunately when the road was re-constructed prior to the olympics they didn't put any stopping places on the northbound route so stopping to take some spectacular scenery photos is near impossible to do.
We did however once we got to Whistler get to experience some of the winter time type atmosphere. It appears this weekend is Labor weekend and everyone and their dog is here doing something. Mainly mountain biking, but that isn't for us. Mainly because it looks to be absolutely suicidal!

Wandering the town you can see many of the remnants of the Winter olympics from last year. Of which we found the rings. Whistler is a truly special place and I'll bet the skiing is excellent in wintertime (if only I could ski!).
