The day started off dark.
Dark with rain.

It's only the beginning of September. Where was the Summer? It brought me down to earth to realise that now I'm full time again most days will mean going out in the dark and coming home in the dark.

Mind you - the dark nights have advantages. Closing the curtains and being warm and cosy is good. Putting on PJ's after tea is good. Cold weather food is always good.

I expect I will cope and in a couple of months time being at home on the cold and blustery days will be a distant memory.

Mid morning I was outside - the rain had stopped, the sun came out and my dark mood was no more.
