Battered

Is it too early to be thinking about hibernating?

We shouldn't be battening the hatches (or 'battering' them down as one TV reporter said earlier) for a good couple of months yet but, thanks to a gusty visitor from the other side of the Atlantic, we've had a day of pummelling from the elements. It doesn't feel as bad as the storm we had in May or, at least, I didn't see any evidence of trees being blown down like they were back then. Feels like autumn's been skipped though and we've moved straight into winter already.

As I took this shot, another blipper crossed the blip streams and snuck in a shot of me. Should've made him cycle home for that.
