Shards of Light

The winds of hurricane Katia reached us today with 58mph winds reported here in Bridlington.

The sun has still tried to cast it's light on us though, and I was greeted with this view from my window when I got home.

The neighbour has just trimmed back a tree so I have a lovely view across the gold course now and the shards of light shining through looked wonderful.

I grabbed my camera, took a couple of shots from the gap in my open window and got this.

The wind was blowing so hard that the clouds moved quickly and it was gone by the time I closed my window again moments later.

I was in the right place at the right time, as is the case with alot of pictures taken!
