Straight drill bits r 4 sissies

Ever had one of those days when everything is just hard work. How easy is it to fit a metal plate over the back door edge? Yes it is a wee 10 minute task.

No it isn't. The door is a bit too low, it's a steel door in a steel frame, you have already lifted it 3 mm to give more clearance but the lino man raised the floor up to make a smooth transition, you got him to grind it off a wee bit and it just fits. No space for more holes to lift that door again! Got a decent drill, no sweat doing a 6 mm hole for a few screws. Can't seem to go deep enough for the long ones - no worries the short ones will do, got them in, yikes the door rubs on the end bit. That plug on that screw sits a bit high, take em all out squeeze it down, make it fit. Ouch the concrete is breaking, you used a 5 mm instead of a 6mm. Yaaa. Hope the shorties are long enough. Eeeek. Take the screws out , youch, the last stainless steel screw broke, you cant get it out and you cant move the screw hole without going to the builders merchant and buying a new door plate. Blahhh. Don't panic Mr Mannering. The drill bit ... didn't break - it bent. Never had that before. Tighten the screws back down , that rubbing isn't so bad really, after all , at all, are you sure it really rubs.

Some days you have to really work for your results.
