Nolte State Park

Our day was so lovely spent at a favorite lake to ward off the unusual high temperatures we've been experiencing in the Pacific NW. Here you see our two dear friends we've shared many laughs and joys and sadness and sorrows with through out the years. In beween them is Big R sporting his beach hat to protect his special top from a red burn:) We shared the joys and woes of raising our children and had so many infamous family times many forged forever onto old 8mm silent movies ...camcorder clips and now burned onto dvds!!!

Today we stopped at our favorite bakery in Black Diamond choosing a few goodies for the day and sandwiches to go for lunch. Us two wonder women dashed into the icy depths sporting our water belts and floated and peddled for well over an hour enjoying the serenity of our surroundings. Our ever lovin guys took in a few winks and nods as we splashed about. I even joined my friend and walked all around the lake with my trek poles to keep these knees a movin!!

Thanks dear friends for a lovely day and Big J for even taking a VERY WEE dip into the ice water. I chose this shot of the day because I like the dappled look of the sunlight on the grass and because it looks as though we had the place all to ourselves!! Sending you all hugs for a good week ahead.
