Horse island and white horses

The pointy structure on the right is Horse Island (see here if curious), off the north shore at Ardrossan, and a familiar view to anyone who takes the coast road from Ardrossan to West Kilbride. We stopped there this evening after a visit to my folks'.

Earlier we took our weekly trip to the Magnum, followed by a quick outing to the harbour in Irvine to watch the waves dashing in. Got lots of wind rocked shots, but I settled for this one in the finish, as it's a sight I've been familiar with, and fond of, since.....oh, way back.

Joy of joys, a day off work tomorrow, so I'm walking my daughter to school, and decidely *not* having got up at an ungodly hour for the commute. And relax...
