Berwick Bridges
The 3 bridges in Berwick Upon Tweed from the north shore - in the foreground the Old Bridge, in the background Stephenson's Royal Border Bridge and in the middle the Royal Tweed Bridge. Interweb general knowledge says these date from 1611, 1850 and 1925 respectively. More of that sort of thing here.
Dotty and I spend most of the day trying to get to the bottom of a lovely waterfall. We didn't manage - first we got a bit lost, then we found the top and couldn't get down. But we did see that our first approach would get us there in the end. Dotty is going to use her considerable charms on the Man In The Big House to get us a pass. It's all very interesting and historic and that.
And walking. Lots of walking. And being hung-over. Lots of being hung-over. And being at the wrong bus stop and nearly missing the bus home. Twice in quick succession. Somehow, I got home.
What a lovely weekend.
