Beauty and the beans

Climbing French bean 'Cobra' is a real gem. I always grow it in my little kitchen garden and it produces lots of beans and these pretty lilac coloured flowers.
I noticed them particularly today as I spent all day working in the veg patch with the ceremony at Ground Zero continuing in the background - so many mothers, fathers and children who lost loved ones. I also thought about all the other innocents in countries all around the world who have lost their lives in the years that have followed.
